Well last week was a busy week!
Everything seemed to happen at once. We went to Toronto for a weekend, I got a call from Springy's and couldn't say no (this could launch my career!), I scheduled the Little Bird window and my manager at my regular job was sick so I ended up working almost 35 hours there!
I spent two days flipping Springy's Tot Shoppe on Upper James, Hamilton. Although we didn't get it completely finished in the time frame it turned out quite amazing! I love the new layout and can't wait to get some pictures of all the hard work!
I spent Friday morning doing a window at re●diaper/Little Bird/Daisy Days, a wonderful baby shop on Ottawa St, Hamilton. I enjoy doing this window, it is a fun challenge to incorporate three stores into one window. Little Bird is a consignment shop for children and maternity clothing. re●diaper sells cloth diapers and everything you could imagine to go along with them. And Daisy Days carries all kinds of wonderful carriers, nursing clothes and Earth Mama Angel Baby products.
While they all share a target market, the biggest challenge is sharing the focus and making sure that everyone's products are highlighted. For this window, it was requested that I showcase some maternity wear and while trying to plan it out I was having trouble figuring out how to incorporate carriers.
I decided to have one mannequin be a Mom-To-Be, wearing maternity clothing with a nice bump and to have the other mannequin be a Mama with a baby in a carrier and a diaper bag overflowing with 'stuff'. Thanks to the ladies (and hubbies) of the store for helping out (and bringing lunch!).

I love seeing my visions come to life and it is always great to hear that they are successful. I got a text on Saturday afternoon saying the dress sold already!!
